Ingredients
Scale
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate (chopped)
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 6 oz semisweet chocolate (chopped) for ganache
- ¾ cup heavy cream

- Melt the chopped semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter together in a double boiler or microwave until smooth and glossy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted chocolate mixture, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs one at a time, and vanilla extract until shiny and fully blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients while stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into a prepared pan and spread evenly before baking in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes.
- While the brownies cool, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then pour it over the chopped semisweet chocolate in a separate bowl and stir until smooth for the ganache.
