Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- ⅔ cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan with nonstick spray, ensuring every corner is covered to prevent sticking.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined, creating a uniform mixture.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy, about 2–3 minutes, achieving a light and fluffy texture.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the milk and vanilla extract, mixing gently until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until no dry streaks remain; avoid overmixing to keep the cake tender.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top before placing it in the oven.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean; cover with foil if browning too quickly.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
