Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup Nutella
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown and smells nutty, about 5–7 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the light brown sugar and granulated sugar; pour in the cooled browned butter while whisking until smooth and glossy.
- Add the eggs one by one to the sugar-butter mixture, whisking well between each addition before stirring in the vanilla extract until uniform.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually fold this dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Spread half of the blondie batter evenly into the pan, dollop Nutella on top, then carefully spread remaining batter over it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 25–30 minutes until edges are golden and center feels slightly firm when pressed.
