Instructions
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe container for 1 to 2 minutes until liquefied, ensuring it’s hot but not bubbling.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter with oats, flour, and brown sugar; stir until you achieve a sticky yet crumbly texture.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and press two-thirds of the oat mixture into the bottom, then bake at 325°F for about 10 minutes until golden.
- In another saucepan, melt remaining butter and whisk in brown sugar until glossy; then add milk, vanilla extract, and flour until velvety.
- Spread the hot caramel evenly over the baked crust and crumble the remaining oat mixture on top; return to the oven at 300°F for 20 minutes until golden.
